Description

Gibson Pat Martino Custom 2006 SOLD

This is a rare guitar of very high quality. It was designed to the specification of Pat Martino to suit his fluent jazz playing. This example is in excellent condition, complete with deluxe hard-shell case and Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, Manual and Hang Tag. Nice set up with straight neck and fast action. Overall condition is very clean with only a small amount of player wear. Frets are great. There are a few very small small marks I expect from guitar stands I have tried to show in the pictures. The flame in the top is stunning. The Pat Martino is a slightly oversized Les Paul shape that is semihollow like an ES335. The advantage of this model is that you get a size comparable to a Les Paul, but with the warmth and tone of a 335. It is very lightweight - this one is only 7 pounds, 2.6 ounces. This instrument is very versatile and great for jazz, blues and rock.

Specification:

Body size at lower bout: 13 3/4". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16"

Vintage sunburst, nitrocellulose finish.

Solid tiger flame maple top, solid Honduras mahogany body and neck; ebony fingerboard with compound radius.

Single cutaway, contoured mahogany back, solid tiger flame maple top, and twin f-holes.

The hollowed mahogany body offers great sustain coupled with feedback resistance, yet distinctly lighter in weight than conventional solid bodies.

The contoured 'snakehead' style peg head permits straight string pull across the nut, and the deep cutaway allows full access to the compound radius 22 fret fingerboard.

All gold hardware; twin '57 Classic pickups; ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge; gold bonnet volume and tone knobs; bound tortoiseshell pickguard; gold Gibson mini-Schaller tuners; custom truss rod cover.

This example is in excellent condition, complete with deluxe hard-shell case and Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity.

This instrument is very versatile and great for jazz, blues and rock.
